Hudson Link, a Stand Together Foundation catalyst, gives inmates the opportunity to graduate college while incarcerated. It recently helped New York’s Sing Sing facility graduate its largest class yet — 44 students.
Only 1 percent of Hudson Link participants re-offend. Those who have successfully re-entered society upon release give much of the credit to the education opportunities provided by Hudson Link.
“I started using education as a tool for reconstruction,” Jeffery Ball, Hudson Link alumnus, told NBC4.
Stand Together Foundation conducts a six-month Catalyst Program that provides access to resources, best practices and a network of dynamic leaders to organizations that are building sustainable solutions to the country’s toughest problems. Hudson Link joined the program in 2017, receiving training on organizational development, branding, measurement and growth, and strategic relationships.
